Beechboro – Workshop Converted into Home
The existing 4 bedroom, 2 bathroom property was built in 1989 on a 1200m2 block. They had a long driveway down the side that led to a large garage/store room. The owner used the storeroom and workshop to house trucks for his business, and we were asked to convert the workshop into a brand new home on their recently subdivided block.
When it came time to convert the space to a home, our client’s wanted to maintain the height of the ceilings as a feature. Mindful Homes was asked to convert the existing workshop structure at the rear into a unique home with a feature brick facade to create a modern and relaxed living space for the owners to downsize and move into once they sold the front home. Including a master bedroom with Ensuite, theatre room, activity room, and study, the home was designed with practicality and use in mind- each room can double as a guest room if needed. The kitchen/dining/lounge area is open plan to make the most of the high ceilings and maximise the feeling of airiness and spaciousness.
