Renovations in the greater Perth area

Warnbro: Extensions

Our client’s vision was to create an ensuite, WIR and laundry. However, they wanted the laundry only accessible from the outside.

We built this extension using face bricks to match the existing house. To make it more cost effective, we used brick veneer rather than double brick. The clients had their choice of fittings and tiles from our supplier’s showrooms.

From design to the final touches, Mindful Homes is here for you every step of the way. No job is too big or too small. It doesn’t matter if you need a new build or a renovation, we do it all. Check out our services to learn more.

Maylands: Renovation

Our clients wanted their existing A.V. room gutted and turned into a sunroom that would lead out to their existing pool. They also wanted to change their front fence and install an electric gate for extra security, as well as replace the timber infills with aluminium slats. We made sure everything matched their existing garage door.

We removed all windows and installed a stacker door. We removed the carpet and installed porcelain tiles to match the existing tiles. We altered the opening from the hallway to the new sunroom so we could hang two sliding doors. Finally, we installed the sliding doors with a pelmet.

Gwelup: Renovation

The clients wanted their front house elevation changed so their front door would be positioned differently, and wanted the window turned into a bi-fold door to access to their new front yard pool. They also wanted their front living room renovated as well as their bedroom, WIR and ensuite.

We bricked up their ensuite opening and created a larger opening with small French sliding doors. We gutted their bedroom, WIR and ensuite. The clients picked their vanity, mirror and tiles from our supplies showrooms. We picked the fittings and saniware. The bedroom got new carpet. The WIR got an extension plus new shelving and rails as they wanted the same as they had before. The front room got new engineer Blackbutt flooring installed throughout, new downlights and a new brick wall for where their brand new television was going to go. Their whole house got a totally new coat of fresh paint.

Bullcreek: Extensions

The clients wanted a garage and outdoor entertainment room. It was approximately a 75m2 extension to match the existing residence.

We had a tight deadline on this job as the clients were getting married at their home not long after we started the project. We successfully completed their home extension in time and they were able to continue with the internal items of the project.

Warnbro: Extensions

This client had an existing family home, however, they needed extra living space. This job was to lock up only, as the client requested to do the remainder of the work themselves. This is a great example of how we work with our clients to deliver custom solutions that fit their needs.

Dianella: Carport Enclosure

Our client had a large, existing carport which we were asked to enclose, whilst also creating a new entryway into their home. We worked with our experienced carpenter to design and install a cedar-lined ceiling, complete with downlights. The result was a beautiful finish that improved the street appeal of our clients home, whilst also giving them a unique feature entrance that was custom make to suit their aesthetic

Leda: New Garage & Living Room Extension

Our clients only had a small single carport to house their cars and were looking to extend it into a larger double garage. Our clients also wanted to increase the space inside their house with an extension to be used as a living room. We closed in their existing carport to create the new living room and built a new garage with plenty of space for the family. We installed new floor tiles in the extension and also throughout the existing house. We also created a new driveway with colours that match their new garage door.

Craigie - Extension and Renovation

Our clients had a 3 bedroom, 1 bathroom house situated on over 700 m2 of land and they wanted to take advantage of the space. We were asked to renovate their home to give them 4 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms and a brand new kitchen. The project is ongoing and there will be more photo's to come!

Melville: Bedroom and Ensuite Extension

Built in double brick with feature cornices, timber floorboards and timber-framed windows, we were mindful of the character and style when asked to create a larger master bedroom, new en-suite bathroom and new walk in robe for our clients. We re-purposed the window from the study nook in the new ensuite bathroom to ensure we kept as much of the original house as possible. The owner tasked us with creating a bathroom that was stylish and unique. We used fittings in a gunmetal finish and installed a feature tile in the niche and vanity wall.

Wiletton: Top Floor Addition

Our clients asked us to build a top floor to give them more living and sleeping space for their children and parents who frequently visit from overseas. We designed the stairs to the second floor to be installed in what was the front bedroom, and they led to the second storey that housed three bedrooms, a bathroom with separate WC and a lounge area. The idea was to design a retreat for their three teenage boys, resulting in ample space downstairs and more storage.

Noranda: Kitchen, Bathroom and Extension

The kitchen and dining area was closed off from the rest of the house, so we removed the walls surrounding those areas to create an open plan, essentially swapping the kitchen and dining spaces around. We also raised the living room floor to be level with the rest of the home. We replaced the windows in the existing bedrooms and living room and installed a cavity sliding door to the office. We built a new master bedroom extension, complete with ensuite and separate WC, in brick veneer and a new hallway for access to the extension using a stud wall. We rendered the exterior to match the existing texture render to make the extension feel like it had always been a part of the home.

Perth Hills: Home Renovation

The home had a small and closed-off kitchen because of a load-bearing wall that cut the space in half. We removed the wall and opened up the space.

This dining room was separated from the kitchen and living area because of an “L” shape wall which was removed. The walls were painted using Taubman's 'Windy Beach' and an IKEA outdoor bench was used to provide a wall of seating plus extra storage.

Ellenbrook: Front Feature Fence

Our client wanted a new feature fence to match the design and colour of their existing house.
